The company which has been using our customized inventory management and billing modules for years produces plastic bottles and other packaging materials that are mainly used in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Until now, the LOT numbers of the products were recorded manually during the packaging, but in order to be able to trace customer demands and possible complaints, a more precise solution was needed which ensures traceability from the raw materials and paints used through the pre-production of the semi-finished products to the final packaging of the finished products.

Logical Concept

- The stock management documentation used until now must form the basis of the unique identification. These divide the processes into phases and physical warehouses: raw material, semi-finished product, finished product.
- Every production process starts with a document on which the shift manager provides the type and quantity of the products or semi-finished products to be manufactured, based on the orders.

Technical Solutions

• Workstations and workers are given unique identifiers with barcodes which are recorded in the system by the person performing the recording using an industrial barcode reader.
• Product declarations containing the LOT number are printed by a network thermal label printer.
• Training the production manager and the workers was easy because the processes are simple and logical.
• Since the integration of the system, the cardboard label can be automatically printed on all packaged finished products which, in addition to the elements of the declaration, also contains the LOT number in the form of an EAN code and also with human display.
